Pathibhara Temple, located at an altitude of 3,794 meters, received snowfall on Saturday morning. According to Santosh Purkuti, Communication Officer of Pathibhara Area Development Committee, who reached the temple, it has been snowing heavily since morning and the cold is very cold. “The weather is like, there will be more snow or rain,” Purkuti said.

Despite the snow and cold, around 3,000 pilgrims are standing in line to offer prayers, said Rajendra Mahat, an employee of the Area Development Committee. Mahat said that they have been coordinating since morning to prevent the pilgrims from being affected by the snow and to make it easier for them to offer prayers.

According to Mahat, when it snowed in the morning, the pilgrims reached the temple wearing plastic and umbrellas. Most of the pilgrims go to the upper foothills at an altitude of 3,100 meters and Kaflepati at an altitude of 2,400 meters on Friday evening and return to the temple after worshipping on Saturday morning.

Most of the pilgrims going from the district headquarters, Phungling, also go in the morning. The committee has statistics that there are more pilgrims on Saturdays compared to other bars. The distance from Kaflepati to the temple is 5 kilometers on foot. It is 2.5 kilometers from Kaflepati to the upper foothills and 2.5 kilometers from there to the temple. It has been snowing from the upper foothills to the temple.
