The Buakhola Bridge between Jantedhunga Rural Municipality and Barahapokhari Rural Municipality has been inaugurated. The 148.40-meter concrete bridge connecting Jantedhunga Rural Municipality-1 Devisthan and Barahapokhari Rural Municipality-5 Pauwasera was inaugurated by Koshi Province Physical Infrastructure Development and Health Minister Bhupendra Rai on Saturday.
Binam Dahal, Chief of the Infrastructure Development Office, Khotang, said that the bridge was completed through a project run by the Infrastructure Development Office, Khotang with a budget of Rs 177 million for Koshi Province. The agreement was signed by Jaya Bageshwori-Regmi Churiya JV Gaighat on April 30, 2081, to be completed by Kartik 21, 2083. The foundation stone of the bridge was laid on Mangsir 6, 2081.
Minister Rai said that the bridge was inaugurated after the construction work was completed before the construction period. ‘The work has been completed before the construction period due to the active participation of all parties related to the construction of the bridge,’ Minister Rai said, ‘I would like to thank everyone for this.’ Minister Rai said that he was happy after the construction of the Buakhola bridge because of the commitment he made during the election.
The inauguration program was attended by Jantedhunga Rural Municipality Chairperson Aruna Devi Rai, Vice Chairperson Khem Bahadur Khadka, Barahapakheri Rural Municipality Chairperson Shalikram Banjara, Vice Chairperson Bhuwal Raj Rai, Khotehang Rural Municipality Chairperson Udim Bahadur Rai, employees working in the relevant offices, and representatives of political parties.
