25-year-old Chadani Devi Sharma, a resident of Tediadangi, Gauradaha Municipality-6, has died from a snake bite.

While taking out food from the food storage inside the house, he was bitten on the right leg by a cobra at 8:30 pm last night. After that, he was taken to the Community Snakebite Treatment Center in Sijuwa, Morang for treatment, where the doctor declared him dead at 11:45 pm, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.

Although snakebite outbreaks usually occur during the summer and rainy seasons, the center's in-charge Devi Prasad Bhandari said that snakebite incidents have been occurring in winter. He said that 370 people have received treatment services at the center in the four months of the current fiscal year.
