Due to the road blockage, vehicles and passengers traveling from Panchthar and Taplejung to various districts including Sunsari and Morang via the Tamor Corridor were stopped.
The Tamor Corridor, which was blocked after flooding in the Nawa River damaged the road, has been operational since Sunday afternoon.
Vehicles and transport vehicles have started plying on this road after the Tamor Corridor Project repaired the access road washed away by the Nawa River flood. The road had been blocked since Kartik 13 due to the damage caused by the flood.
Due to the road blockage, vehicles and passengers reaching various districts including Sunsari and Morang from Panchthar and Taplejung via the Tamor Corridor were stopped.
With the road blockage removed, vehicles and transport vehicles blocked on this road have left for their respective destinations, informed DSP Anish Kumar Karna, Chief of the District Police Office, Panchthar.
