Body of Sharma, missing for three days, found on the banks of Biring River

The body of Saroj Sharma of Maidhar, Shivasatakshi Municipality-10, was found buried on the banks of Biring Khola on Saturday morning. Sharma's body was found under the bridge of Biring Khola, which flows between Jhapa Rural Municipality and Bahradashi Rural Municipality.

Locals had informed the police after the stench spread. Police said that a body buried in the sand was found during a search at the place where the stench spread. The body was Sharma, who had been missing for three days. Police said that the body was wrapped in plastic after the murder. 

During the search for Sharma, the police had recovered a burnt car in the Charali forest area last Thursday. The police had intensified the investigation after it was discovered that the same car belonged to the Sharma family.

According to SP Rajan Limbu of the District Police Office, Jhapa, Sunil Shah, 25, and Rahul Shah, 26, residents of Shivasatakshi-10, Maidhar, have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. According to initial investigations, the police said that the murder may have been committed due to personal enmity.

Police have sent the body to Mechi Provincial Hospital in Bhadrapur for post-mortem.
