Road network and electricity service have been disrupted in various parts of Udayapur due to incessant rains since Thursday.

Electricity service has been disrupted in various places in Limchungbung Rural Municipality and Tapli Rural Municipality due to falling poles and damage to the road network.

Due to incessant rains, roads including Beteni Majhakharka Road, Nunthala-Rupatar-Thanagaun Road, Beteni-Sorung Ramche, Punware-Dillibar-Majhakharka Road, Bhuttar-Puware Road, Baraha-Rankula-Thanagaun Road have been damaged, said Tapli Rural Municipality Chairman Dhungraj Bishwakarma.

‘The incessant rains have damaged the roads in many places, vehicles are operating only partially, we will start repairing them after the rains end,’ he said. Due to the rain, the road connecting Tamliksha, Balamta, Jante, Basbote of Limchungbung Rural Municipality, and Okhle, Lekhgaun, Iname of Tapli Rural Municipality to the ward office and the municipality center has been damaged and blocked.

According to Rautamai Rural Municipality Chairman Birendra Magar, the road connecting Pokhari, Aaptar, Rasuwa, Nametar, Bhuttar ward offices to the municipality center has been damaged and vehicular traffic has been blocked. He said that the repair work will start soon.
