A landslide has damaged a road in Charkhole Golai, Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6, Dhankuta. About 20 meters of the road has collapsed along with the landslide. Police have said that the operation of large transport and transportation vehicles such as buses and trucks has been banned on the road due to the ongoing incessant rains.

Vehicles and transport vehicles travel through the road to and from Dhankuta, Tehrathum, Sankhuwasabha, Bhojpur and Khotang districts. A 7-member team under the command of Police Inspector Mahesh Bhattarai has been deployed from the Area Police Office, Bhedetar, to the flooded area.

Meanwhile, the District Administration Office has issued a notice urging people not to travel except for essential work and to take necessary precautions to stay safe.
