Limbu, who was under the influence of alcohol, killed his son on Sunday afternoon by shooting him in the garden behind his house with a loaded gun. The bullets from the gun he used hit his 17-year-old son, Safal Singh, in various parts of his body. He died on the spot, according to the District Police Office, Panchthar.
According to the police, a police team deployed after receiving information about the incident has taken Bakhat Singh under control along with the gun. The body has been sent to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan for postmortem.
