More than 800 girls have received services under the 'Gifts for Girls during Dashain-Tihar' campaign. Under the campaign, which was launched with the aim of providing free transportation facilities to girls going to their families, around 350 girls received services during Tihar and 450 girls during Dashain.
Sanjay Kumar Rai, coordinator of the campaign, said that Maiti and Maavli were provided to women, the elderly, children and those in poor financial condition during Dashain and Tihar.

‘Around 450 girls received services during Dashain and 350 girls received services during Tihar,’ Rai said, ‘Various supporters have helped with vehicles, fuel, food and snacks.’
The first edition of this campaign was launched last year. Last year, 415 people received this service.
