Police have taken four people into custody on charges of misbehaving with police in Chainpur Municipality-3 of Sankhuwasabha. The arrested include Chandra Bahadur Ale Magar, Purna Bahadur Ale Magar, Tej Bahadur Ale Magar and Dachhiri Sherpa.
On Thursday night, a team led by Assistant Inspector Bhim Bahadur Baral was deployed from Police Post Siddha Pokhari based on information that some people were creating a ruckus after consuming alcohol in Magar village in Chainpur-3.
Police said that when the police team tried to explain to the people, they behaved rudely and uncooperatively towards the police. Regarding the incident, Police Inspector Ram Kumar Lamichhane said that the people who were taken into custody have been kept at the Area Police Office, Chainpur for further investigation.
Sankhuwasabha Police Chief DSP Kumar Prasad Mainali has warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who creates a ruckus in a public place after consuming alcohol, displays rude behavior or behaves disrespectfully towards the police.
