Fifteen people have been injured in a Bolero jeep accident in Bijuledanda, Katari Municipality-4, Udayapur.
The jeep (Ba 7 Cha 3695) heading from Katari to Lekhani lost control on Friday afternoon and overturned on the left side of the road. Police have stated that some of the injured in the accident are in critical condition.
They were immediately taken to the Provincial Hospital Katari and preparations are underway to refer them to other well-equipped hospitals depending on their condition, said DSP Kedarman Dong, Information Officer of the District Police Office Udayapur.
Those injured in the accident are 67-year-old Kshetra Bahadur Magar of Dudhauli Municipality-14, Sindhuli, 45-year-old Arjun Tamang of Katari-8, 25-year-old Rammaya Tamang, 33-year-old Mina Kumari Tamang, 30-year-old Durga Dulal, 24-year-old Manisha Dulal, and 13-year-old Latang Tamang.
Similarly, 52-year-old Dil Bahadur Tamang, 59-year-old Amrit Bahadur Tamang, 62-year-old Ratnalal Tamang, 43-year-old Man Bahadur Shrestha, 68-year-old Krishna Rai, 34-year-old Dev Bahadur Rai, 6-year-old Chandra Bahadur Tamang and 22-year-old Laxmi Tamang were injured, according to the police.
The driver, 30-year-old Sagar Rai of Katari-14 Lekhani, has been taken into custody by the police and further investigation has been initiated.
