In Panchthar, a culturally diverse district, people of all castes and languages celebrated Tihar by organizing various programs. The Deusi troupe was often seen dressed in traditional costumes and playing traditional musical instruments.

The common intention of many of the Deusi teams here is to preserve culture. However, this year's Deusi Bhailo seems to focus on preserving culture, preserving originality, conducting social activities, and helping the recent flood and landslide victims. And the songs of Deusi Bhailo include stories of the love and affection of siblings as well as stories of flood and landslide victims.

Dressed in original costumes, the indigenous people of the eastern hilly district of Panchthar celebrated Tihar with their original dances like Kelang, Manglang, and Yalang. Originality could be seen in the Deusi played by all the castes here, including the Limbus, who are the majority in eastern Nepal, as well as the Tamangs, Magars, and Rais. Along with their dances, the Bhattna and Ashik Dina were also original.

The Kirat Limbu community in Panchthar, Tehrathum, Taplejung and Dhankuta have been celebrating Tihar as Balihang Tangnam after Diwali on the day of Lakshmi Puja. During this festival, the scenes of Magar people performing Hurra, Rai people performing Chandi, Tamang people performing Dampu and Gurung people performing Sorathi dance along with Dayusi are very interesting.
