Three foreign climbers create history

Three foreign climbers have successfully scaled Mount Numbur in Solukhumbu for the first time. The climbers, who are part of the Seven Summits Trek, successfully scaled the mountain, which is at an altitude of 6,958 meters above sea level, in 15 hours.

Human footsteps successfully reached Numbur Himal at 10:30 am on Sunday. Italian citizen Herve, German citizen Felix and Polish Adam jointly climbed Numbur Himal on Sunday morning after the Department of Tourism opened the climb last year.

Tourism entrepreneur Fuchiri Sherpa said that with this success, the history of climbers climbing Numbur Himal was also created by three climbers.

The climbing team achieved success this season after the Department of Tourism opened the climb at the initiative of Solududhkunda Municipality. After successfully climbing the mountain, Ward Chairman Chhongba Sherpa, Dudhkunda Community Forest Chairman Ngti Sherpa, international runner Dachiri Dawa Sherpa and tourism entrepreneur Fuchiri Sherpa jointly welcomed them.

Numbur Himal located in Solududhkunda Municipality-1 is also the head of Dudhkunda Lake. The successful ascent of Numbur has opened a new door for tourism, said the mayor of the city, Namgel Jangbu Sherpa.
