Tamang was rushed to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar by army helicopter after the baby's condition became critical.
Pregnant 29-year-old Sita Tamang of Makalu Rural Municipality-3 was airlifted to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar on Monday morning after experiencing complications.
Tamang had reached the Pathibhara health post (birthing center) for treatment at around 7 pm on Sunday because her baby was not moving. After the health workers said that the situation was complicated, an immediate rescue initiative was taken.
According to Chief District Officer Sirjana Thapaliya, Tamang was rescued from the grounds of Shobha Basic School in Makalu-3 Simma at around 9 am on Monday by an army helicopter and taken to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar. She was rescued under the President's Air Rescue Program.
