Prem Dorje Lama, 79, of Sintang, Barahapokhari Rural Municipality-3, who had gone missing six days ago, has been found dead. The Lama, who went missing from his home at 10 pm on Asoj 26, was found dead on Friday afternoon.
According to Police Inspector Sushant Mishra, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Khotang, the body was found lying face down near the Rapche River, about two kilometers south of his house, at 2:55 pm. "As soon as the deceased's son Man Kumar Tamang informed, a team led by Police Constable Dhirendra Kaiwar from the Huknajor police station took control of the incident," Mishra said. "A team led by Police Assistant Inspector Bables Kumar Yadav from the Barahpokhari police station and Police Inspector Mohan Kumar Bohora from the Area Police Office, Khotang Bazaar, have been deployed to the incident site for legal procedures and further investigation."
