Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality has decided to remove temporary, contract and daily wage employees except for the posts. Based on the letter from the Ministry of Finance, the executive meeting on Tuesday decided to remove temporary, contract and salaried employees without posts.
According to City Chief Tirtharaj Bhattarai, the decision was based on the letter received from the Ministry of Finance on October 5. Mayor Bhattarai informed that it has been decided to remove temporary, contractual and salaried employees without posts with effect from 1st October, at a press conference on Tuesday. Bhattarai says that it is yet to be ascertained how many such employees there are. "On the basis of the letter from the Ministry of Finance, it has been decided to remove temporary, contract and daily wage employees, except for the posts, with effect from the 1st of October," said Bhattarai.
Similarly, it has been decided not to spend on lunch, food and miscellaneous items in municipal council and municipal executive meetings, programs, and the details of the plans allocated by the municipality from the beginning of the local level have also been made public. Bhattarai said that after receiving complaints that some of the plans were not implemented, some were duplicated etc., it was decided to publicize the allocated budget and program from the municipality since the beginning of the local level.
