The Nangin-Yangnam-Phalout road, which was blocked due to floods, has been put into operation. This road has been operational since Monday evening after the restoration of the road that was damaged by the flood in the Feme river area.
Due to the flooding of the Feme River, the landslides in the Fidim to Falelung area, which is a blocked road section, have been avoided, but the road in the Femi River area connecting the borders of Fidim 1 and 11 has been blocked since October 18 due to erosion and diversion.
Meanwhile, Infrastructure Development Office Panchthar has brought the road into operation by deploying excavators and technicians. Shailendra Singh, Head of Infrastructure Development Office, said that 22 hrium pipes were installed in the area affected by the flood and culverts and diversions were placed to cut off the water.
This road was blocked after the culvert and diversion built in the famous river section were washed away again on October 17. When the road was blocked, there was a problem in taking food and consumables to various places in Phalelung Rural Municipality along with Ward No. 10, 11, 12 and 13 of Fidim Municipality and moving people around.
With the removal of the barrier, the pickups carrying food from Fidim side have started going across Feme, while the vehicles stuck across the river have come towards the headquarters .
