According to the road division, preparations are being made to bring 2 more excavators by deploying 7 machines in various road sections of Ilam which have been blocked since October 18th.

9 excavators have been mobilized to open the Ilam-Panchthar section of the blocked Mechi highway. According to the Road Division, Ilam, work has been going on since morning to back-cut the broken road at Banchare Golai in Ilam.
Similarly, Pawan Bhattarai, Head of Road Division, Ilam informed that 3 machines have been deployed in Puwakhola section of Ilam, 3 machines from Milgolai and 1 machine in Rajduwali section. According to him, 2 more excavators are being brought for Mykhola-Rajduwali section. Bhattarai says that the work will start from Milgolai side also in a few moments.
The road division also informed that it will take time to completely open the road that was blocked in places due to landslides and floods after the heavy rains on October 17 and 18. This road has been blocked since October 18.
