The Ravi-Rankeh road, which has been blocked for three days, has been blocked again after the landslide was cleared and the traffic resumed. The Bhedetar-Ravi-Ranke road, which was closed due to landslides due to incessant rain, became operational from Tuesday afternoon.

The road section connecting Dhankuta to Ilam and Panchthar was blocked by landslides at Namje Thumki, Pahre, Lumfajung, Baluwakhani and other places of Sangurigarhi Rural Municipality. Jitendra Rumdali Rai, Chairman of Sangurigarhi Rural Municipality, said that the landslide has been cleared and the traffic has resumed since 2 pm. However, Ramesh Pradhan, in-charge of the area police office, informed that the transport vehicles were stopped after a landslide occurred in Sangurigarhi rural municipality-5 Lumphajung at 4 pm. Vehicles operating on the said road have again stopped in the middle of the road. According to Pradhan, the operation of traffic can be carried out till the evening as the work of removing the landslide is going on. Dozens of vehicles and passengers are stranded on the road. 

Similarly, the Tamor Corridor has not yet come into operation. The road has also been blocked since Saturday. Under the Tamor Corridor, traffic has come to a standstill after the construction of the under-construction concrete bridge over Chharuwa Khola in Falametar, Choubise Rural Municipality-4, was swept away by the flood. After all the structures except for the pillars were washed away, the vehicular movement in the Tamor Corridor has come to a standstill. A crusher with machinery was swept away by the flood which came in Chharuwa river near Chaubise-4 Falametar. Rauta Construction operated a crusher to produce gravel and sand for the Tamor Corridor road and concrete bridge under construction. According to the project source, it will take a few days for the traffic operation.
