Jailer Rajan Ghimire informed that a 30-meter long outer wall of the district jail in Khandbari has collapsed due to continuous rain since Saturday afternoon. According to him, the building is also at risk after a large landslide occurred in the lower part of the prison. He said, "Even though repairs have been started since Sunday to prevent landslides, it is difficult to proceed with the work due to continuous rain."

Similarly, a landslide has also occurred at the rear of the 15-bed city hospital in Chainpur municipality-6. According to Ramkumar Lamichhane, Acting Chief Police Inspector of the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, the building has become dangerous after the ground behind the hospital began to flow.
Tenzing Sherpa's house in Chainpur-Siddipokhari is also at high risk of landslides. The Sherpa family has been moved to a safe place after the heavy rains on Sunday afternoon.
Road traffic has come to a complete standstill. The north-south road section leading from the headquarters Khandbari to Bhotkhola Rural Municipality has been blocked for a month after a large landslide occurred in Makalu Rural Municipality-3. After the road was blocked, the communication with Bhotkhola Rural Municipality was also broken.
Apart from this, the district administration office said that due to landslides, the vehicles could not move in various places of the North-South Koshi road section. After receiving reports of continuous rain and high rainfall in the border area of China, the operation of rural roads outside and inside the district has been temporarily suspended for safety reasons.
The local administration has asked people to be cautious and stay away from dangerous areas.
