A pedestrian died in a traffic accident on Monday afternoon in Khandbari Municipality-7, Welfare Hill of Sankhuwasabha.

District Police Office Sankhuwasabha said that 55-year-old Ganga Shrestha, a resident of Panchkhapan-3, died after being hit by a Bolero vehicle numbered Ko 1 Ch 9776.

According to police inspector Ramkumar Lamichhane of the district police, after the accident, the police have detained the Bolero driver Tenzing Sherpa. The police said that a detailed investigation of the incident is underway.
