It has been a year since the devastating floods in Panchthar swept away the structures of 29 bridges, 15 schools and 10 hydropower projects and killed 11 people.

2081 from October 9 to 12 and before that on June 2, the flood caused damage to health institutions and various physical structures of the district. Bridges have been built in only 2 places out of so many structures washed away by the flood, the rest of the structures are not ready to be built. 

Even in the face of Dasain, the passengers have to suffer due to the lack of bridge construction. This year also, the citizens are suffering due to disaster incidents including floods and landslides in various places of Phalelung Yangwarak and Fidim in the district. On the one hand, the regular suffering caused by weather-related disasters, on the other hand, the citizens of the district have been suffering from problems such as broken down bridges and non-reconstruction and repair of roads.

During the last three years, Panchthar District Administration Office collected the data of loss worth 4 billion 744 million 68 thousand 500 rupees due to landslides in Panchthar alone. 

It has not yet been decided when the bridge will be built in the main river and canal of the various roads in this district, which has damaged so many structures at the local level, state and district level. 

There is a good flow of traffic and transportation in the rivers of Fidim Falaut, Fidim, Yangnam, Sidin Memeng and Mid-Pahadi Highway. Due to the lack of reconstruction of the bridge that has washed away, diversions have been made and temporary traffic has been created.  Since these diversions are buried and washed away with the flood, Gopal Adhikari of Falelung-8 says that passengers have to face a lot of stress until they reach their destination .

Arun Pokharel, the prominent district officer of Panchthar, says that only 2 bridges have been built on Mechi Highway and Sidin-Machhewung section which were flooded. 

Under the Tamor Corridor, the Hewa river that separates the border between Phidim and Hilihang, the Muwa river that flows from Phidim to Nangin, Yangnam, Sidin Prangbung, connecting Phalout on the Nepal-India border, and the Muwa river that separates the border between Phalelung 6 and 5 have not been built . The source of the Madhyapahari Highway is Chiwabhanjang, Dovane connecting Tharpu via Changthapu, Oyam and Falam rivers, Fidim from Sidin to Phalelung Village Center Thakepung, Hewa river turning point, due to the lack of reconstruction of the bridge washed away by the flood, vehicles and transport vehicles are being diverted due to the lack of reconstruction.

'Due to the fact that the diversions flow and get covered when it rains, it is not only to transport the food and daily necessities for the festival, but also to bring the sick and pregnant women suffering from labor pains to the hospital,' said Bhim Rizal, a teacher of Falelung-7.

The bridge of Hewa river near Majhitar under Tamor Corridor along with the crossing of Madhyapahari highway was swept away by the flood on 2nd of Asar 2080. Feme and Muwakhola bridges of Fidim Phalout road section were washed away on October 12th and Falam and Oyam Khola bridges were washed away on June 2nd, 2081. 

Fidim Municipality Mayor Mitraprasad Kafle says that the problem has been imposed due to the non-progress of the construction of the concrete bridge.   "Despite repeated requests to ensure the budget and start the work, there was no hearing from the state and federal government," he said. Jenji  There is no sign of speeding up the rebuilding of structures damaged by the crisis and political instability in the country after the movement.
