On Friday, 14 passengers came from Kathmandu and 9 passengers reached Kathmandu from Taplejung.
After two months, an air flight took place at Suketar Airport. After 5th of July, the plane could not land here. Nepal Air Service Corporation has maintained one regular flight every Friday.
"We have scheduled one flight a week," said Narayan Kumar Karki, in-charge of Taplejung Station of Nepal Air Service Corporation, "Due to the bad weather here (Suketar), some flights could not be made from Kathmandu, some flights had to be diverted, but today the plane landed because the weather in Suketar cleared." Karki says that there is little possibility of more flights immediately as it is in operation and the other ship is under repair. According to Dilip Rajwanshi, Air Traffic Controller of the airport, there are more flights landing in winter than in summer.
The corporation said that the fare for the Kathmandu-Taplejung flight is 9 thousand two 45 rupees. It takes 55 minutes travel time in favorable weather.
