The government offices that were destroyed in the Gen-G movement of last August 24 are being restored in a hurry. Due to the fire, the building was destroyed and the contents were looted. However, with the cooperation of the private sector, those offices are trying to rise again.

The district administration office of Morang and the Mechi customs office of Jhapa have started service after re-operation with the help of Kakdavitta private sector. Morang district administration office was completely destroyed by vandalism, arson and looting during the Gen-G movement.

While the service flow is being disrupted, the Federation of Nepalese Industry and Commerce, Koshi Province has supported 10 computers to facilitate the administrative work.

Rajendra Raut, president of the federation, said that the private sector is always ready to help in times of crisis and said, "We have provided computers for the convenience of the customers."

Likewise, 300 liters of paint has been provided with the help of Asian Paints to re-operate the building damaged by fire. It is said that the federation will bear the entire cost of the painting.

Mechi customs office, which was completely destroyed due to the agitation in Jhapa, has also received support from the private sector. Customs chief Harihar Paudel informed that Mechi Industry and Commerce Association has provided 6 computers, 6 tables and 6 fans to the customs office. 

'We have taken help to avert the immediate crisis', Poudel said, 'We will return those materials after purchasing new ones.' 25 computers, 17 ACs, chairs, tables, and toilet commodes were also looted from the customs office. Food, clothes, hardware, high-priced iPhones and mobiles and alcohol were looted from the godown at various times and kept for auction. In which half of the container was alcohol.
