Dharan sub-metropolitan city has brought a total budget of 2 billion 20 million 74 lakh 59 thousand for the financial year 2082/083.

The budget, policy and program budget for the current financial year was passed in the 17th Municipal Assembly held on Saturday. With the passing of the budget, policies and programs two months later than the scheduled time, Dharan sub-metropolis got out of the 'budget holiday'.

In the previous executive meeting, it was decided to implement only by reducing 10 percent of the capital budget from the total budget excluding current expenses. Presenting the budget in the Municipal Assembly, Deputy Head and Coordinator of Budget Drafting Committee, Deputy Mayor Aindra Bikram Begha informed that priority has been given to infrastructure development, education, health and social development, tourism, agriculture and disaster management.

He said that 805 million 53 lakh 65 thousand resources are estimated from the internal revenue to cover the expenses of the budget for the coming fiscal year 2082/083. Similarly, he said that the grant from the federal government will be collected at 89 million 29 million rupees. 

It is estimated that a subsidy of 773 million 44 thousand rupees will be received from the state government, 34 million 18 million 50 thousand rupees from revenue sharing, 2 million rupees from the road board and 7 million rupees from last year's balance.  

Deputy Mayor Begha has allocated 21 million from internal sources for administrative, program and capital for all 20 wards. 

Similarly, they have allocated 468.5 million including 37.8 million in conditional grants for urban planning and physical infrastructure development, 669.4 million in conditional grants, and 43.6 million in conditional grants for education, youth and sports.

Similarly, a total of 69.99 million 95 thousand has been allocated for health including a conditional grant of 65.7 million, while a total of 48.6 million 45 thousand has been allocated for social development and 129 million for economic development.

Similarly, 274,500,000 has been allocated for forest environment, energy and disaster management, 20,000,000 for law and justice administration, 43,000,000 for public land protection and 15,000,000 for revenue mobilization and 50,500,000 for city vision program. The main vision, main fund, deputy chief vision, deputy chief fund was removed and the city vision fund was created.

Similarly, a total of 468.5 million has been allocated for education, youth and sports, 699.95 million for health, 48.645 million for social development, and 129 million for economic development. 

Similarly, a total of 274 million 50 thousand has been allocated for forest environment, energy and disaster management, 20 million for law and justice administration, 15 million for public land protection, 43 million for revenue mobilization, and 55 million for city vision program.

Similarly, out of the allocated budget for all 20 wards, Ward No. 1 got a budget of 77 lakh 34 thousand 569 rupees, while Ward 2 got 69 lakh 19 thousand 293 rupees, Ward No. 3 got 68 lakh 79 thousand 103 rupees, and Ward No. 4 got 1 crore 11 lakh 3 thousand 483 rupees.

Similarly, 1 crore 16 lakh 12 thousand 552 rupees have been allocated to Ward No. 5, 1 crore 10 lakh 67 thousand 759 rupees to Ward 6, and 66 lakh 21 thousand 379 rupees to Ward No. 7. A budget of 1 crore 35 lakh 40 thousand 379 rupees has been allocated to Ward No. 8, 74 lakh 39 thousand 845 rupees to Ward 9, and 79 lakh 19 thousand 569 rupees to Ward 10.

Similarly, Ward No. 11 received 1 crore 26 lakh 24 thousand 948 rupees, Ward 12 received 76 lakh 63 thousand 121 rupees, Ward No. 13 received 1 crore 7 lakh 76 thousand 862 rupees, Ward No. 14 received 81 lakh rupees  46 thousand 34 rupees, 1 crore 9 million 87 thousand 828 rupees have been allocated to Ward No. 15.
