Sajan Mewahang Rai, who lost his life due to police firing during the Gen-G movement, was buried in Dharan with respect.

He was cremated on Tuesday evening according to caste rituals in Nisandevi community forest area located in Dharan Ward No. 5.

His body was brought to Dharan in a hearse on Tuesday. A team of Nepali Army from Itahari saluted. Harkar Sampang, mayor of Dharan, honored him by wearing the national flag at the memorial service at Bhanuchok.

After his funeral program at Bhanuchok, his dead body was taken to the forest and cremated according to Mundhum rituals in the Rai caste. Dharan sub-metropolitan ward no. 5 Although he was living in Apantar Chauri house, he had been living in Kathmandu for a long time.

His family and relatives came to know about his death only after 2 days. Menuka Rai, the niece of the deceased, said that there were only sons in the Dera and they did not come for 2 days.
