Tejaratna Eye and Ear Treatment Centre, Khandbari, with the technical support of Biratnagar Eye Hospital, Biratnagar, performed free cataract surgery for 50 people.

Kshitij Baral, the head of the treatment center, informed that 50 people were successfully operated on for cataracts and around 350 people were examined for general eye health during the camp held on Friday and Saturday.

According to him, patients who had vision problems during surgery and tests were treated immediately and free glasses were also distributed as needed. According to Baral, Tejaratna Eye and Ear Treatment Center, which has been conducting such camps regularly with the aim of providing easy eye treatment services at village homes, has brought a team of skilled specialists from Biratnagar Eye Hospital to Khandbari. 

In the camp that lasted for two days, the patients who came for treatment were given health examination, eye check-up, preparation for surgery and necessary counseling. Most of the patients presented with symptoms such as blurred vision, difficulty seeing in bright light and watery eyes due to cataracts. Baral said that the

camp has brought great benefits especially to citizens whose economic condition is weak. According to him, emergency patients have been referred to Biratnagar Eye Hospital.
