The maintenance of Sekhuwa-Jhagarpur-Chakhewa road has been started under Shramdan, which has been damaged by rain. As the festive season approaches, the road repairs have been started from Friday through public assistance.

According to Ravi Prakash Rai, Chairman of Sakela Rural Municipality, under the project of National Pride, the road in Sekhuwa-Jhagarpur-Chakhewa section in his municipality is incomplete and after it was damaged by the rains, repairs have been started with public donations.

Rai said that he started repairing after the government showed no interest. "The Madhyapahari public road in the Sakela rural municipality area is inadequate, on top of that, repairs have been started so that travelers do not have to face problems during the festival after the rains broke down," he said.

Rai said that about one kilometer of the road was repaired with the participation of public representatives, teachers, employees and local people. About 10 kilometers of the road has been destroyed.

Excavators of Madhyapahari project and Sakela rural municipality have been used for road maintenance. Rai said that the damaged road will be repaired through labor donation until it is completed.
