Deepak from Panchthar has been unanimously elected as the president of Nepal Cardamom Traders Federation from the ninth annual general meeting and the fifth convention.

The convention held on Saturday in Jhapa Birtamode elected a new working committee under the leadership of Nepal. The convention elected Naran Chimaria as senior vice president, Matrika Ghimire, Sujit Bansal and Kusum Dahal as vice presidents. 

Prajwal Bimli General Secretary, Ramakrishna Bista Treasurer, Prem Rai and Sanjiv Ghimire were selected as Joint Secretaries, informed the newly elected President Nepal. After the unanimous decision, the nomination has been registered accordingly.

Nepal, Chimaria and Om Vimali were in the competition for the president. The participants stated that the committee was unanimous in keeping Nepal President, Chimaria Senior Vice President and Om's son Prajwal as General Secretary. 

Taplejung businessman Balamani Baral Koshi has become the state coordinator. The session was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Karki. In recent years, cardamom has also been included in the list of the second most exported country from Nepal. Most of the export is done through the Kakadbhita route. The production districts in Nepal have reached 43.
