Madi municipality has announced a public holiday after President Ramchandra Poudel will attend Sankhuwasabha on Thursday.

President Paudel has a program to inaugurate Madi Secondary School's 75th anniversary and diamond festival.

Mayor Jeevan Lingthep issued a statement on Wednesday stating that all offices and educational institutions under the city will remain closed.

Madi Secondary School, Sankhuwasabha is one of the oldest and premier educational sites. This school is going to organize 'Hirak Mahotsav' to remember the educational journey of 75 years through a special ceremony and to fill the future generation with more energy. In the

festival, President Paudel will formally inaugurate the 75th anniversary of the school, along with the unveiling of the diamond pillar built in the school premises and the statue of Saraswati installed as a symbol of learning, education and knowledge.
