Financial support by Mount Everest climbing couple for upgradation of children's classes

The Mount Everest climbing couple has donated three lakh rupees to Mahendra Basic School of Fungling Municipality-1 for the upgradation of the children's classes.

Slovenian citizens Andre and Maria Stramfel, who entered the Guinness Book of Records by becoming the first married couple to climb Mount Everest in 1990, provided financial support. 

More than 70 children studying in this school will benefit from this. According to tourism businessman Mani Khatiwada who coordinated it, they have been supporting the school before. 

has helped this time as a continuation of the same. Khatiwada informed that the necessary infrastructure and sports materials for children will be managed from this amount.

Khatiwada said that this couple, who visited the Kanchenjunga region many times since climbing Mt. Has published a book containing the experience of traveling the Great Himalayan Trail from Taplejung in the East to Hilsa in the West Humla.  Khatiwada informed that the

book will be sold in the international market and the money collected from it will be invested in local schools.

In coordination with Khatiwada, earlier, Pathibhara Yangwarak-1 Nakholyang, Sundarmala Basic School building construction, Bardanda Basic School building construction and classroom upgrading etc.
