A 16-year-old teenager has been arrested for gang-raping a girl in Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality. One of the two men who gang-raped a 14-year-old girl while returning home from school on July 19 was arrested from Jarangkha in Jalpa on Friday.
A girl studying in class-8 in a local school was raped by two people studying in class-9 of that school. He was arrested on the basis of the complaint that two people took him to the forest and raped him all night while returning home from school.
After the girl who went to school did not come home, her relatives found her at the spot the next day, said Sushant Mishra, information officer of District Police Office Khotang. "One of the two people involved in the rape has been arrested today," Mishra said, "one person is being searched for."
After the girl was raped, her relatives filed a complaint at District Police Office Khotang on July 21.
