A 10-year-old boy died after being strangled by a sari pin in Arjundhara municipality-11, Balvikas tol of Jhapa on Friday evening. Pradeep Siva, son of Netra Prasad Siva, met with an accident while playing on a wooden ball of his house.
The boy's mother saw her son with a sari wrapped around his neck. The sari wrapped around her neck was immediately opened and she was rescued and taken to the hospital.
However, the hospital doctor declared the child dead. According to the police, the body has been sent to Mechi Regional Hospital, Bhadrapur for post-mortem after completing the legal process.
