After the outbreak of dengue in the district, a campaign to destroy the larvae of lamukhatta has been started. The campaign was launched after 12 people died of dengue in the last one month.

 

Under this, mosquito larvae were found and destroyed in Diktel on Monday morning. The campaign started from Hospital Chowk and reached Hatdanda from Diktel Bazar via Alchedhunga via the garage area around Kirat Chowk.

The head of district coordination committee Khotang San Bahadur Rai, head of Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi municipality Tirtharaj Bhattarai, chief district officer Kalpana Shrestha, Nepali army, armed police, public road police, commercial association, hotel business, heads and representatives of various governmental and non-governmental organizations participated in the larva destruction campaign.

San Bahadur Rai, Chairman of District Hospital Operation and Management Committee and Head of District Coordination Committee Khotang, said that the campaign was started after the decision to prevent the spread of mosquitoes to control dengue disease throughout the district during the orientation and interaction program with stakeholders on dengue disease held on Sunday.

"According to yesterday's decision, the campaign has been started from today," Rai said, "This campaign will be conducted not only at the district headquarters but at all local levels of the district."
