An Indian youth died due to electrocution in Mai municipality of Ilam.

The young Indian citizen who lost his life is Aftab Alam. The police said that he was electrocuted during the tile fitting during the construction of his house in Mai Municipality-2.

A 22-year-old resident of Karuwamani Panchayat Surivitta in Kisanganj district of India, he came to Ilam for employment.

According to Surya Moktan, Chief of Lodia Police Station Danabari (Deputy Inspector of Police), Alam, who was severely injured due to electric shock during tile fitting, was pronounced dead when he was taken to Mai Hospital for treatment. His body was taken to Bhadrapur Hospital for post-mortem, police said.
