The budget submitted by the deputy head of the sub-metropolitan city Sangeeta Kumari Chaudhary on 10 June was passed by the 16th municipal assembly which concluded on Saturday.
Itahari sub-metropolitan city, which has been facing criticism for not being able to bring a budget on time, has passed a budget of two billion 55 million 21 million rupees for the current financial year 2082/83.
The budget submitted by the deputy head of the sub-metropolitan city Sangeeta Kumari Chaudhary on 10 June was passed by the 16th municipal assembly which concluded on Saturday.
For the current financial year, it has been announced that 1 billion 41 million 10 thousand, i.e. 40.79 percent of the total budget, has been allocated for current expenses, 9 million 90 million, i.e. 0.35 percent of the total budget, and 1 billion 50 million 1999 thousand, i.e. 58.86 percent of the total budget, have been allocated to capital expenditure under financial management.
According to the budget of the current financial year, according to the demand of the local people, physical infrastructure has been given priority by Deputy Chief Chaudhary. In which priority has been given to the feasibility study and preparation of a detailed project report for the outer ring road of Itahari sub-metropolitan city in coordination with the federal government and the provincial government.
In the budget, for beautification of Itahari to make it a beautiful city, along with construction of roads, installation of road furniture at necessary places within the jurisdiction of the road, construction of two sky bridges on Kosi highway for the convenience of pedestrians has been allocated.
