Sticks, hearing aids, crutches and wheelchairs have been distributed to seven disabled citizens of the ward.

Crutches and wheelchairs for the disabled

Materials have been distributed to people with disabilities in Sakela Rural Municipality-3 Khidima. Materials such as crutches, wheelchairs, walking sticks etc. were distributed to the disabled in the said ward on Thursday.

According to DM Chamling of the social development branch of the rural municipality, walking sticks, hearing aids, elbow crutches and wheelchairs have been distributed to seven disabled citizens of the ward. The materials were distributed by village chairman Ravi Prakash Rai.

Similarly, Chairman Rai has also handed over 15,000 cash from his allowance to Milijuli Group, an organization of disabled people formed in that ward. "The joint group of disabled people of Khidima was running the organization by collecting 50 rupees per person," Rai said, "I have contributed 15,000 as a small contribution from my side."

The program will be conducted in Sakela rural municipality until the middle of 2083  After that, Chairman Rai said that the rural municipality itself will continue the program. There are 325 people with disabilities in that village.
