Two major roads have been blocked in Panchthar due to the flood that occurred after the midnight rain on Tuesday. Mechi Highway and Phidim Nangin Phalout Road were blocked due to flood.
District Police Office Panchthar informed that Mechi Highway was blocked when the flood in Hewa River crossed the surface of the diversion made there.
Dambar Mishra, Supervisor of Road Division, Ilam, informed that as the stones and soil above the diversion are washed away, the water is flowing due to the collapse of the Wari and Paripatti roads.
According to him, 2 excavators are currently trying to repair the road. On the other hand, under Fidim Nagin Yangnam Prangwung road section, Fidim 1 and 11 separated the border after the flood caused by the Feme River damaged the road.
The infrastructure development office is trying to open the road there. It is estimated that it will take about 3 hours to open the road.
