Relief has been provided to the fire victims of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-13 Nunthala. Seven lakh 75 thousand five hundred and seventy seven rupees were handed over to the family of Jit Bahadur Syangtan, the victim of the fire that happened last July 18.

Ward president Bhageshwar Rai and Sundarlal Tamang handed over the funds collected from various professions/businessmen, social workers and others working in different countries in connection with foreign employment at the initiative of the Fire Victim Support Collection Committee formed under the coordination of ward member Tara Devi Tamang.

Of this, 541,742 rupees were collected in the account of Sandurlal Tamang and another 28,835 rupees was collected, according to Dhankumar Tamang, a local teacher. "Now the amount collected in the first phase has been handed over," he said, "other funds are also being collected." According to the police, a two-storied house with a bamboo roof was destroyed in the fire. The incident was caused by a fire from the stove.
