At Dudhkunda, which is considered to be the center of tri-religious faith, devotees of Hindu, Kirant and Buddhist religions visit during the fair held on the occasion of Janaipurnima. This is the history of naming Dudhkunda  :

Although there are various legends about Dudhkunda, the experts say that it is called Dudhkunda because it was created as a pool of creation of the mountains and it was discovered by Chaunrigai. Due to the fact that white, kanchan and milk-like water remains in the tank for twelve months, the validity and identity of the name Dudhkunda has been confirmed. Although it is not mentioned in which period, in ancient times one of the chaunripalak's chaunri always disappeared at some point of the day and later came back and joined the herd. One day, when the farmer got suspicious, when he went back to find out where the Chaunri was going, he saw that the Chaunri was offering milk to a stone in a place where there is a tank. Similarly, there is another legend that in ancient times, the ocean was churned between gods and demons in this pool, and the gods won and took away the nectar of divine jewels. Although many lakes and ponds are found in the Himalayan region, Dudhkunda is specially explained by pilgrims and religious leaders.
