One person has gone missing in Jhapa after the Kankai Mai river washed away.

60-year-old Chandra Bahadur Bishwakarma of Kankai Municipality-5 went missing when Mai Khola washed away on the border of Shivasatakshi Municipalities-10 and 7 of the district at 11:30 on Friday. 

Jhapa police said that he went missing while fetching firewood from the river. It is reported that the search for the missing person is being carried out with the help of the police and local citizens.
