An old man died after being hit by a truck on Monday afternoon in Adheri Jogitol, Udaipurgarhi Rural Municipality-7 of Udaipur under Madan Bhandari Lokmarg.

DSP Kedarman Dong of District Police Office Udaipur said that he was returning to his sister's house after being shepherded, when he was hit by a truck carrying 'cold drinks' and he died on the spot.

The co-driver of the truck, 40-year-old Gome Darzi of Kalinchok Rural Municipality-4, Dolakha, was injured in the accident and he is being treated at the District Hospital, Udaipur, he said.

54-year-old Navraj Raut of Banepa Municipality-14 Kavrepalanchok, the truck driver, is safe and has been kept under police custody.
