Four houses were flooded in Udaipur due to heavy rains on Saturday night. According to Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel, four houses of Sada Basti in Triyuga Municipality-13 Portaha were flooded.
Prazia Luintel informed that four houses of Sada Basti were flooded due to the lack of draining of water falling from the sky. He said that the families of the four flooded houses have now been moved to a safer place.
According to Triyuga municipality-13 ward president Naveen Kumar Chaudhary, the houses of Surja Sada, Kancha Sada, Jakku Sada and an unnamed family of Portaha were flooded. He said, 'A total of 11 people from four families have been displaced. All have been kept in safe houses.'
According to Prazia Luintel, there was no damage other than the four houses that were flooded.
Triyuga river has crossed the alert level
According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, the water level of the river has crossed the alert level at Triyuga Gaighat water measuring station. Due to the incessant rain overnight, the water level has risen and is still rising, so the department has asked the people living in the riverside areas and areas prone to flooding to take precautions.
