Subas Limbu, who was sentenced to life imprisonment by District Court Taplejung, was arrested by the police from Fungling market while returning to his home district.
A young man who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the incident that resulted in the killing of police constable Bhupal Acharya and serious injuries to Chandra Dewan has been arrested after 13 years.
According to the Information Officer of the District Police Office, Police Inspector Vivek Basnet, the police arrested Subas Limbu of Meringden rural municipality-2 Santakra. He was sentenced to life imprisonment by District Court Taplejung on 31 October 2071.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Prasad Gautam informed that Subas, who is on the absconding list of the police, is living in places like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai in India and was arrested by chance when he came to his home district. According to him, he was arrested from the headquarters of Fungling market on Friday.

Subas has been submitted to the district court and according to the order of the court, he has been sent to the district jail to pay his imprisonment. 28-year-old Subas has to stay in prison for 20 years according to the court's standard.
