A man has been arrested in Sirijanga Rural Municipality-5 Yangpang on the charge of killing his wife.

Sanjman Limbu hit his wife Shanti Rai with a pair of scissors after a dispute over the reason for cutting the khaini. He even got his wife treated at the hospital as she was hit by a rod while walking on the road. The police said that he made his wife say the same thing in the hospital. 

According to Ved Prasad Gautam, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Taplejung, on July 8th, after sewing the wound of his injured wife, he took her to Dera . But his health did not improve and he died while being taken to the hospital after his stool and urine stopped. Gautam said that it was found from the preliminary investigation that the deceased wife was struck above the genitals with scissors.

Police Deputy Superintendent of Police Gautam informed that the information received by the police and Sanjman's sister-in-law also revealed that he had killed his wife.

32-year-old Sanjman had his first marriage with a girl from Tamang Thar living in Singhpur of Panchthar in the year 2075/76. After he left, he married Shanti, a mother of three children living in Khamlalung of Tehrathum in 2081, and brought her to Taplejung. 

They were living in Fawakhola, Fungling Municipality-11, and they were living in Ukalipani, Fungling Municipality-4 two months ago, police said. According to the police, the dispute between them turned into violence at 5 pm on the 8th and they even committed murder.

According to the police, Sanjay has been extended the investigation process by six days from the district court.
