After the death of a teacher in a traffic accident, Sirijanga Rural Municipality has declared a mourning holiday for Monday in schools across the municipality.

Bhavna Rasaili, working in primary level III at Saraswati Secondary School in Sikaicha, Sirijunga Rural Municipality-3, died on Sunday morning while going to school. 

Shyam Prasad Khatiwada, the official, informed that all the community and institutional schools of the municipality were given leave by the decision of the village head level after his death after passing the Teachers Service Commission last year. 

On Sunday morning, a Bolero jeep traveling from the headquarters Fungling to Sikaicha had an accident at Fawakhola, Fungling municipality-11 due to brake failure. Bhavna, injured in the accident, died on the way while being taken to the district hospital. The injured driver has been taken to Jhapa for treatment.
