Ravi Prakash Rai, Chairman of Sakela Rural Municipality, has informed that the roads washed away by the landslide have been repaired and the traffic has been operated.
In Sakela rural municipality, the road that was damaged due to rain has been put into operation after repair. Banjhechendanda-Ratancha-Manebhanjang road has been repaired and put into operation with the activities of people's representatives, employees, police, locals and others.
Ravi Prakash Rai, president of Sakela Rural Municipality said that the road was repaired and operated after a landslide near Rupuwa River in Banjechendanda on Tuesday night. Rai said that the landslide caused damage worth around five million rupees. The rural municipality has kept the road under Gaurav project and is under construction with the budget of the local, state and federal governments.
The road is under construction with 20 percent cost sharing of the local level with 12.25 million rupees under the federal supplementary plan for the last financial year 2081/082 and the federal supplementary plan for the current financial year 082/083.
"This road is part of the Gaurav project of the municipality," Rai said, "This road is about 17 kilometers long, and a detailed project report (DPR) worth one billion 140 million rupees has been prepared for its completion."
