The girl died when she was swept away by the river. District Police Office Panchthar has informed that the deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Manisha Angbo of Papunden Toll, Falelung Rural Municipality-7 Sidin of the district.
It is said that she was washed away by Feme river in Fidam. Manisha, who was flowing from Feme, was rescued in an unconscious state by the locals who were working on the diversion repair in Hewa river on the border of Fidim-4 and Hilihang-7.
After being rescued, he was brought to Panchthar Hospital for treatment with the help of the police, and the doctor there declared him dead, informed Rupesh Tamang, District Police Office Panchthar Police Inspector.
His body was handed over to his relatives on Monday after the post-mortem, the police said.
