Two roads that were blocked due to flood damage have been temporarily opened. Panchthar section and Phidim Yangnam, Phalaut section of the Central Hill Highway have been operational since Sunday evening.

Along with removing the landslide that fell in Yangwarak rural municipality-3 Rizal Bhir under the Panchthar section of the central hilly highway and the obstruction of the diversion due to flooding in the river Dovane was removed, traffic on this highway started from evening.

Since then, the road cut by Feme River on the border of Fidim 1 and 11 on the Fidim Yangnam Fallout route has been repaired and the river's water has been drained through a culvert.

However, it is said that both roads have been opened only temporarily as the risk of rain remains.

Even though these two roads have been opened, the Hewa River of Mechi Highway and the Nawa River of Tamor Corridor remain blocked. Pawan Bhattarai, Head of Road Division, Ilam, informed that despite efforts throughout the day to remove the obstruction of the Hewa River, it was not possible as the flow of water did not decrease.
