Free ambulance service to children and senior citizens in Fungling-8

Citizens under 5 years old and over 60 years old of Fungling municipality-8 will get free ambulance service when they go to the district hospital for treatment.

Fungling-8 has started providing such services to its people for one financial year under the annual budget. To go to the hospital, the citizens of the specified age must contact the ward president, ward member, ward office or the ambulance driver designated by the ward. Ward president Kshitij Sunuwar informed that if you contact them, you will get immediate service.  He said that the programs aimed at children and the elderly have been kept as other citizens can also walk.

Sunuwar says that this service has been started because the elderly and children are having trouble reaching the hospital even though they are within the municipality and some of them are not going to the hospital because of the cost.

This ward has been providing 10,000 rupees for the support of rent expenses if any citizen of the ward dies since the previous financial year. It has also helped in the transport facility to reach from the house to the ghat . The ward has been providing one chicken cock to pregnant women, ghee, eggs and nutritious food to those who do not eat cocks. In every school of

ward, the students who attended the most have been getting 15, the second 10 and the third 5000 rupees. 21 students from seven schools are awarded every year. Every year, the ward has also been awarding teachers who do excellent teaching throughout the year.

Even though it is within the municipality, since it is a remote ward, the ward president Sunuwar says that he has to bring programs for the convenience of the citizens.
